The answer is that it would be amazing. Spectacular. Iconic. Mind-blowing. Historic.
I don't think there are enough words in the English language to express just how incredible it would be for golf's most sacred course to host a women's professional event.
With the growing success of the Augusta National Women's Amateur, coinciding with more and more legendary courses hosting major women's golf events—think Pebble Beach, Oakmont, Riviera, Valhalla, and most recently Bethpage Black—it feels perhaps...inevitable that Augusta National will host the LPGA and its stars sooner rather than later?

Is it wishful thinking? Absolutely. But crazier things have happened and I wouldn't put it past the committee to do something to shock us, just like they did with the Prime Video coverage announcement (huge!!! deal BTW).
The Solheim Cup feels like most logical fit for a women's professional event to take place. There's already five majors on the schedule, so an "LPGA Masters" doesn't make sense. ANWA takes place the week before the men tee it up, so the spring feels too crowded.
With the Cup usually taking place in September, the fall would bring so much beauty to Magnolia Lane. I know we all remember Dustin Johnson's November conquest of the green jacket. The course played a little softer than what we were used to seeing, but it was such a sight to behold.
Just picture it: normal Augusta National rules would apply—cameras only allowed during practices, but once competition begins it's just the best in the world duking it out with fans having nothing else to do but bear witness. Concessions would maybe add a special red, white, and blue themed menu item. And the specialized gnome...I mean come on people? How could you not want this?
