Hello golf fans, I hope you enjoyed your roughly 80-hour break from pro golf after the first men's major of the year. Lucky for the pros, it's just under three hours driving to travel from Augusta, Georgia, to Hilton Head, South Carolina to tee it up for the RBC Heritage. The tournament is held at Harbour Town Golf Links, the longtime host of the tournament going back to 1969 that's aptly named because the town conveniently features a picturesque view off the 18th hole of a lighthouse on, you guessed it, a harbor. When the Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus-designed course opened in the late 1960s, they opted for the British English spelling "harbour" as branding choice to align with the link-style setup.

Ok, so enough with the funny business, let's get down to the real business of the week, because even though the golf course might be short by PGA TOUR standards, and the island might be small, it's still a big week in the world of gear. Let's kick it off with a broken club.
As he self-reported on X, the app formerly known as Twitter, yet where you still send tweets (can anyone explain that?), Michael mentioned that he had to borrow a backup 4-wood from Max Homa after realizing his Qi35 3-wood developed a substantial crack on the face.
Thanks to GolfWRX, we actually have pictures of said club (title image), and when zoomed in and marked (sorry about the poor Photoshop skills), you can see where the crack formed.

To be fair this is common and not a massive issue, plus it sounds like he might have a replacement before the start of play. It just goes to show why some players carry back up clubs with them.

As written about earlier in the week, Titleist officially launched their GTS fairway woods on tour as part of the tour validation process.

The line officially includes the GTS2 and GTS3 with a third GTS model spotted on the conforming list and not mentioned in any press releases.

With Harbour Tour being such a tight golf course, this seems like the perfect week to drop some new woods for players to test. We'll keep this updated once we know more about which players have put one into play.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

On the range at Hilton Head, Brian Harman was spotted (thanks once again to GolfWRX's lens man Greg), testing a set of custom Titleist 633 BH CB irons. From first look they sure seem very similar to the Titleist 620 CB irons, but there could be more than meets the eye.
With Titleist likely around one year from their next iron release, this could be a proto set designed to look like an older set out for testing. Or, with less of a tinfoil hat on, these could just be a custom set of lefty CB's made for Brian since he is a left handed and they are running low on stock of heads. Keeping in mind that they have the custom code 633 BH, the final posibility is that much like Cameron Young and others like Justin Thomas, Brian got hit first set of made for him irons too.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that TaylorMade announced the release of their newest putter line, the SYSTM2, and now out on tour this week, they also brought out some new Spiders. To be fair, the new line on tour is capital E - Expansive and includes the Tour-V, Tour-X, and Tour-F.
I highly recommend to check out all the tour galleries over in the GolfWRX Forums to see all of the options: GolfWRX RBC Heritage Pictures and Discussions.
