Have you noticed it? The shift that's occurring? It isn't fast-paced or blatantly obvious (yet), it's a quieter, more intentional maneuver.
Women's golf style is facing a redirection—one that isn't rooted in newness and novelty, but rather leaning in, hard, and creating pieces that are targeted, specific, and categorical. There's less of the "one size fits all", and now we're presented with more choices than ever before.
RELATED: The Best Women's Clothing Brands in Golf
This current chapter of women's golf wear can be best described as maturation. We're no longer held hostage to "shrink it and pink it" mentality. The "fore her" movement is in full bloom, and has been around long enough to move into the next phase. Five years ago, the goal was to begin creating fashion-forward golf clothes for women, period. This next chapter is about finding that balance of the working, busy woman who wants to do it all, who goes from the office to the course, and every moment in between. As more women enter the golf sphere, the need for their clothes to cater to their lives will increase.
I've scouted and scoured the depths of the golf-side of the internet to compile a list of case study brands that speak to the rise of elevated performance wear that balances grace and power. It's about prioritizing comfort without carelessness, or as my guy Raymond Williams would say, "considered rather than lazy".

There isn't a brand I trust more to deliver gold-tier layers than Draw & Fade.
This was one of the very first women-owned, small brands I knew of right after the COVID golf boom and for the past five or so years, they've been consistent in their mission of making women the priority at the micro-level. Designing and creating functional clothing that women feel good about showing up in, time and time again.
Their drops and releases are slower, methodical, but what remains consistent is the high-quality materials used in each product for prices that won't hurt your wallet. D&F's founder Taylor Oslon Freed is very intentional with ethically sourcing premium materials all for under $150.

Draw & Fade Modern Birdie Polo
This is a brand that nails knitwear...like every single time. It's a classic take on a merino wool sweater, where the charm lies in the embroidered details.

BUY NOWBorn from the minds of two young women who just wanted cuter golf apparel, Goldie Byrd feels like the brand for the coastal cool girl who is always flexing on Instagram about being somewhere warm and forgoes any mid-round snack for her must-have, post-round charcuterie board.
One of the co-founders, Arielle Solheim, is the the great-granddaughter of the legendary Karsten Solheim, founder of PING and the visionary behind the Solheim Cup. Golf is quite literally in her and the brand's DNA, but it isn't the sole focus. On the Goldie site, there's a phrase that's so simple yet, so evidently clear, this is a collection of golf-inspired apparel.
Think of Goldie Byrd as the kind of clothes you'd wear for a golf event as a spectator, or you know you'll be in close proximity to golf. Of course, they're checking all the boxes for ready-to-golf pieces with performance fabrication, but I actually am I huge fan of things that function for golf, when you're not golfing. Those are situations I find myself in more often than not, and it can be a real pickle trying to come off like you're not cos-playing, but also don't want to be too far removed.

Goldie Byrd Belted Hybrid Pants
Existing in the realm between a pair of leggings and high-waisted trousers sits these hybrid pants that look sleek as hell with anything you pair them with.

Goldie Byrd Zip Front Smoothing Bodysuit
A cropped polo is a concept that I still need to be sold on, but a bodysuit for golf? Is something I can get behind, vehemently! No more getting untucked, mid-swing.

BUY NOWIf you're the type of woman who's constantly on the go, but you don't want to live in athleisure—allow me to introduce you to Honors—a brand that channels commuter chic.
Comparable to a Bonobos in terms of vibes, Honors has a strong neutral color palette (think blues, khaki, and shades of gray and black) that creates the perfect foundation for a capsule wardrobe. Each piece is simple, sharp, and clean. There isn't a ton of frills and fluff because there doesn't need to be.
And just because the name of the game is minimalism, doesn't mean that they skimp on being fashion-forward. From pleated skirts to travel tracksuits, Honors' offerings are timeless, and things that are easy to gravitate toward.

Honors The Blazer
The brand's signature piece is this wrinkle-resistant double-breasted blazer, that's deeply rooted in tradition. The first pioneers of women's golf were sporting coats and jackets as symbol of empowerment. And nothing says "I mean business" like a woman in a blazer.

Honors The Polo
A button-less polo with a slightly oversized, relaxed silhouette is the calling card of contemporary women's golf. The lines, both literally and figuratively, aren't as rigid anymore.

BUY NOWThis a newer brand on my radar, and so far I'm really digging what I see.
"Elegant athleticism" couldn't be a more perfect tagline, especially in the world of women's golf wear. Immediately my mind goes to simple designs, with delicate finishes (think scalloped hemlines and small gold hardware) and walking that line between what works for the office and the golf course.
For those of you are who are tapped into the brands space may be familiar with A.PUTNAM, and I get a similar vibe from The Garde. The pieces remind me a lot of early A.PUTNAM with its very classic brand color palette and experimenting with making everyday staples a touch more sporty.

The Garde Audrey Dress
The classic polo dress got a edgy upgrade with this eye-catching regal ruffle sash that reaches from from shoulder to hip.

The Garde Vivian Pant
A kick flare pant is going to do something for me every single time. Because more often than not, they are stretchy enough for active wear, but tailored enough for the office—and these are exactly that.

BUY NOWLike Goldie Byrd, Williams Athletic Club has a flirty, sophisticated aesthetic that plays so well into the Gen Z influx our game is seeing. The 20-something divas are picking up golf more than any other demographic, and I couldn't be happier!
As a proud member of the Zoomers, I can tell you firsthand that our style is eclectic, fluid, and prioritizes comfort—and every piece of our wardrobes try to reflect those characteristics.
Williams AC fits that bill of country club core with a bit of edge in the same way that Sporty & Rich does. It's Princess Di-core, taking athletic wear and making it look like couture.
