For years, Puma Golf has been one of the most recognizable brands on tour when it comes to color. A lot of that reputation comes from Rickie Fowler and the iconic orange looks that helped define an era of golf style. Even this year we've seen Puma revisit that orange a handful of times, reminding everyone that the brand isn't afraid to stand out.

But the thing I appreciate most about Puma isn't the loud stuff. The brand is actually really good at building wearable color stories. Not loud. Not complicated. Just combinations that work.
Here are three of my favorites.
If you're new to color blocking or simply don't want to overthink getting dressed, start here.

Black and grey work together for the same reason navy and white work together—they naturally complement each other without competing for attention. I'd recommend black being your base and then working grey around it through your pants, layering pieces, or accessories.
It's clean, versatile, and honestly almost impossible to mess up.

Use off-white as your foundation and then layer navy around it through stripes, patterns, quarter zips, or outerwear. The contrast is soft enough that it feels elevated without drawing too much attention to itself.
From there, brown or black shoes and belts can finish the look without introducing another major color.
Simple. Clean. Effective.

Too bright and it can feel disconnected. Too dark and everything blends together. Puma's Dark Sage and Dark Indigo tones are a good example of how to make this pairing work.
The olive brings warmth while the blue creates contrast, resulting in a look that feels a little more interesting than the combinations you see every day.
It's not as foolproof as black and grey or off white and navy, but when you get it right, it might be the most rewarding of the three.

BUY NOWThe biggest thing with color blocking isn't finding wild colors.
It's finding a couple of colors that complement each other and letting them do the work.
Puma Golf has been doing exactly that for years. Rickie's orange may get the headlines, but some of the brand's best style lessons are hiding in the quieter combinations.
