There’s a version of collaboration in golf that feels forced. Then there’s this.

The PUMA Golf x Gumtree Golf & Nature Club “Field Notes” collection sits comfortably in the latter. It doesn’t chase attention. It earns it. I remember being in Gumtree golf & Nature Club Founder Karsten Jurkschat’s Brooklyn studio last year, watching an early cut of the campaign film before any of this was real. Even in that raw state, it felt intentional. Slow, but confident. That’s kind of his thing.

Karsten’s work has always lived a little outside the traditional golf lane, pulling from nature, observation, and a slower way of engaging with the game. PUMA stepping into that world feels less like a partnership and more like a natural extension. They’ve always been willing to explore, and this gives them a different kind of canvas.

And the product reflects that. Earth tones that feel worn in, not manufactured. Graphics that aren’t just for show, but say something. Even the leaping cat feels recontextualized here, less performance logo, more part of the environment.

This is what good collaboration looks like. Two brands from different places meeting in the middle, not to compromise, but to expand.
