After a week off, the PGA TOUR is back Stateside for the Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort. While many of the game’s best are getting some well-deserved downtime, some have made the trip to the Beehive State, setting up a nice little field for the FedExCup Fall stop.
Some of those names include Luke Clanton, Jason Day, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, Maverick McNealy, and Sahith Theegala. Last year’s winner at Black Desert, Matt McCarty, seemed to find something on Sunday of the Baycurrent Classic just in time for his title defense. He posted a final-round 11-under 60 that included eight birdies(!!) on his final nine holes. McCarty finished the week in Japan tied for 14th.
Black Desert is a par-71 track that measures 7,421 yards on the scorecard. This week’s winner will go home with 500 FedExCup points and $1.08 million of the $6 million purse.
With just four events remaining in 2025, this is one of the last opportunities for the guys to improve their positioning going into the new year.
