The week after THE PLAYERS or a major championship always feels a little like a hangover, but we roll nonetheless. Thankfully, the PGA TOUR now heads to, in my opinion, one of the most underrated events of the season.

The Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course is always sneaky good. The field is usually strong—this year included—the golf course doesn’t have a Florida-feel to it, and the Snake Pit produces some drama down the closing stretch.
Viktor Hovland returns this week as the defending champion, and he’ll be joined on the tee sheet by Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, Jordan Spieth, Akshay Bhatia, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, and Tony Finau, among others.

As for the Copperhead Course, it’s a par-71 track that measures 7,352 yards on the scorecard. This week’s winner will go home with $1.638 million of the $9.1 million purse and 500 FedExCup points.
If you’re planning on enjoying the Valspar from the couch this weekend, here’s all the information you need.
