It took until late Friday morning—to be honest, I didn’t think we were going to get one—but we’ve got our first hole-in-one of the 2025 U.S. Open!
Victor Perez teed off the 10th for the second round and made three birdies, two bogeys, and a triple before making his way to the par-3 sixth. Then he did this:
It was the second ace at Oakmont Country Club during a U.S. Open, joining Scott Simpson’s at the 16th in 1983.
After the one, Perez got back to 1-over for the tournament after signing for a 71 on Thursday. The Frenchman is right back in this thing!
