The 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink has delivered difficult scoring and an extremely tight leaderboard, which means, unless someone separates on Sunday, there is a good chance of a playoff.

The PGA Championship is decided using a 3-hole playoff, with the total score over those 3 holes used to determine the winner. If the players involved are still tied, it would then go to sudden death - I'm talking winner takes all, not sudden death Mortal Kombat style, and since this is golf, I'll assume you probably already made that assumption.
For the 3-hole playoff, the holes that will be used at Aronimink are the 10th, a 472-yard par 4, the 17th, a 229-yard par 3, and then 18, a 490-yard par 4.
For sudden death, the players will continue to play the 18th until a winner is crowned.
The last time the PGA Championship went to a playoff was in 2022 when Justin Thomas beat Will Zalatoris at Southern Hills Country Club in the 3-hole aggregate. And, based on the tough conditions players could be facing at Aronimink on Sunday, we could be in for one more this afternoon.
