With just four events left in the 2025 season, what does the best player in the world focus on? Her swing? Her putting? Ahead of play at this week's Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Malaysia, World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul clued us in on her goal setting plan as the year winds down.
"[To] be able to play enjoyable golf, be able to show them what I have in each tournament that I have left in this year. I think that's it. That's really goal," said the 22-year-old.
And it's objectively the perfect answer. I mean I can't imagine what else we could ask of the only player that has won twice this season, leads key Tour stats like lowest scoring average and strokes gained, as well as the be the player who is on track to sweep the end-of-season awards given to LPGA athletes.

But I'm not foolish enough to think that Thitikul's eyes aren't on the prize this week. This is a title that has evaded her the last two years, coming up as the runner up to Celine Boutier in 2023 and again to her bestie Ruoning "Ronni" Yin last year—she's ready to continue solid play in Malaysia.
"I had really good memories here," said the Thai golfer. "Were in the playoff with Celine for nine holes, and then last year I had a really good finish. Came in second, but hats off to Ronni what she have done last year.
To me, I think the course really good condition as always. I think it just kind of feel like comfortable to play here. The course, the weather, and like also the fans seem like second home to me. I feel like it's seem like a mini Thailand."
Thitikul headlines the field this week that includes other stars like world No. 4 Lydia Ko and 18 of the 27 different 2025 winners including Sei Young Kim. Kim is the most recent player to find the winner’s circle with her victory at the BMW Ladies Championship.
