With just two events left before the greatest test in golf: the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera—it's crunch time for the best in the world.
It may feel like it was just yesterday when Charley Hull won the Kroger Queen City Championship after Jeeno Thitikul had a shocking four-putt on the final hole to lose by one stroke...and you wouldn't be wrong. This year's trip to Cincinnati has been moved up a few months due to the Solheim Cup, and with the schedule shift comes a new course venue.

"Yeah, it feels kind of weird because it's like it was only like, I don't know, what, seven or eight months ago that we were here. So it's a real quick turnaround," said Hull ahead of the competition this week. "I've got good memories of this place. I came like second I think it was like three years ago in 2023 as well, so I like the area."
Maketewah Country Club, a Donald Ross design, is a shorter par-70 course but don't be fooled, just because it'll be playing around 6,400 yard this week, doesn't mean that it doesn't have some teeth. Much like Mountain Ridge that hosted last week's Mizuho test, the greens will be key this week.
With lots of undulation and slopes, players will have to be smart in their approaches and keep their balls beneath the hole in order to score.
"It's quite quirky. It's interesting. But there is a few like tricky little holes, fiddly holes out there," the defending champ continued with about the new course. "The rough can be kind of thick-ish in places, but not necessarily super thick. So, got to be very precise and have good distance control."
Hull is back in the field this week to defend her title, along with Thitikul who may be looking for her redemption arc. She's fresh off a win in Jersey and is looking to keep the momentum going. World No. 1 Nelly Korda is back this week after taking some time off from her back-to-back wins at Chevron and then in Mexico.

They are joined by 21 of the top-25 on the Rolex Rankings, including Ruoning Yin who is coming off a second place finish at Mizuho, Lydia Ko, and Lottie Woad.
Players are competing for a $2 million purse, with the winner’s prize totaling $300,000.
