Scotty Cameron designs and builds putters for the best players in the world, and when it comes to changes, those are also driven by the wants and needs of the world's best. It's this back and forth that has refined the 2026 Phantom mallet line with updated shapes and geometries to help golfers putt better.
“The popularity of mallets continues to grow, both on tour and with dedicated golfers everywhere. With so many different players looking to take advantage of mallet designs, we need to provide multiple options that all perform — while looking and feeling every bit as good. There’s no one ‘right’ way to putt, and the new Phantom line is a great example of that.”

The biggest changes to the Phantom line come in three key categories: the shaping, the face, and the hosel options.
When it comes to shaping, the face height in the middle of the strike area has been made taller to aid in alignment and offer a more organic profile.

Getting the right balance for face depth is important. On this design, we decided to radius the top line. The heel and toe are the same height as they were before, but it's taller in the center to give the putter a really nice look from address.

The face of the new line showcases a full face Studio Carbon Steel insert to provide a soft feel and proper feedback to help players with speed control. This is the same insert and milling pattern that is stock on the Studio Style.
Last but not least, the Phantom series has adjusted shaping to the hosels and sole. The hosel adjustments have been made to better frame the ball and provide various degrees of toe hang, which the team at Scotty Cameron has also defined as torque profiles. The new Jet Neck is a longer and less angled version of a slant neck to deliver a more subtle look in the address position.
The tweaks to the soles are also subtle but were inspired by Justin Thomas to creates a larger flat section so the putter soles more flush to the ground.
Chain-Link face milling - This Chain-Link face milling pattern is the result of extensive testing with tour players to dial in sound and feel. The reason being, there is a direct link between what a player experiences at impact and the distance the ball travels—a relationship that is crucial for distance control. It also helps with the initial ball roll.

Another major element of the insert is, that unlike the previously released Studio Style, the insert in the new line is made from a soft carbon steel—the same type of steel used in Scotty Cameron’s early handmade and art of putting models from the late 90s. It's this steel, plus the Chain-Link pattern that comes together to make the new putters some of the softest feeling Scotties ever produced
Electroless nickel plating - To prevent the soft carbon steel insert from rusting, this plating process is used to maintain the integrity of the steel and keep the soft feel.
