*In Partnership with Titleist*
Although it might not sound like the most flattering comparison, the PGA TOUR is in many ways a traveling circus. The show rolls into town and sets up shop where preparations have been happening for months, the surrounding area is ready to embrace the performers (players) who come from all over the world, and then for four days, they put on one heck of a show. After that, they pack up and head to the next town to perform the following week.
But what about everyone else? What about the people behind the performers? This is where I believe the real magic happens.
Just like how each F1 team is loaded with mechanics ready to jump in to make tiny changes that can have a big impact, each golf equipment manufacturer on the PGA TOUR has an equipment trailer loaded with gear and smart people to help make sure each player is ready to perform their best, and one of the busiest trailers every week belongs to Titleist.
With a leading position in multiple categories of equipment used on the PGA TOUR—including ball, irons, wedges, and driver—more players trust Titleist equipment week to week to get the job done. And with that many players using that much gear, you need to have the staff capable of not only meeting their needs but also building clubs to the highest possible level.

Now, maybe it's because I spent years working as a club builder in a high-volume custom shop that I appreciate the little details that go into making small adjustments and how those adjustments can pay off. But I also believe that there can be a lot that regular golfers can learn by watching players communicate about their equipment and the way that they look for gains in performance.
With all that said, let's meet the people behind the players.
When it comes to Vokey Wedges, Aaron or AD, as he is commonly referred to by tour players, is the main guy. From stamping to sole polishing, Aaron helps to make sure each player is dialed into their short game. This also means monitoring wedge groove life to having replacements ready for golfers in need of more bite.
From drivers to irons, JJ is constantly working with golfers to get them into the right gear and helping them manage performance through the bag under various climate and course conditions.
This also includes preparations for tour seeding events like this week's T-Series iron launch on the PGA TOUR where it's an all-hands-on-deck affair to make sure new clubs are meeting the needs of the players they were built for.
As the Scotty Cameron rep, Drew is a busy guy. From confirming loft and lies, to ensuring grips are on just right, every player who uses a Scotty Cameron putter puts their trust in Drew when traveling week to week on the PGA Tour.
Drew also has the fun (and envied job by putter collectors) of managing Scotty Cameron's ever-rotating head cover inventory.
