I was asked what my ideal Mother’s Day gift guide might look like so I jotted down a wide range of items and experiences for everyone (me)! In all seriousness though, the privilege of being able to become a mom after a difficult journey to motherhood is all I truly need and want. A card never hurt though.
-at least 2-3 more dogs, but I’d settle for 1
-a sunflower bouquet because they’re just so bright and cheery and remind me of our daughter
-a full day of no responsibilities even though I’ll likely micromanage things from afar still
-a freshly brewed coffee, preferably Don Francisco’s butterscotch flavor
-a day of errands where I get to be passenger princess and take all the time I want in HomeGoods while my husband EXCITEDLY participates
-armed security to keep an eye on our trash bin (iykyk)
-a fanny pack/water bottle/sunglasses/sunscreen/phone holder combo so I can avoid going full dad mode cargo shorts soon
-an umbrella with a sturdy seat
-speaking of an umbrella, maybe an aesthetically pleasing hands free hat umbrella
-a few pairs of the one type of Alo leggings that I wear like a uniform on the course
-athletic tops with built in bra cups not the removable ones, nobody likes those!
-platform sandals that are as comfortable as tennis shoes
-smoothie vendors on the course
-if it’s not asking too much, an Adam Hadwin win

-a miniature donkey, a micro highland cow, a couple alpacas, basically any and all farm animals
-my car gas tank to never be on E
-a phone that implants into my arm so I can stop saying “wait I don’t have my phone!” even tho it’s always in my pocket or purse
-comfort food that has high protein, lots of carbs and fat, and no calories. Please Crumbl Cookies, figure this out!
-the Mother’s Day card my husband bought a few years ago, put in his nightstand drawer, and never filled out.
-a photographic memory for school agendas and announcements so my child quits tricking me into school themes and activities that don’t exist
-a green thumb
-twitter world peace. Well world peace in general
