I Bought Danielle Kang’s Viral $33 Amazon Pants. Here Are My Thoughts.

Streetwear is all the rage in golf right now. From sneakers taking over the golf shoe world to oversized pants galore, we’ve seen it begin to creep into the men’s game thanks to players like Jason Day and Min Woo Lee. But all the while, golf's casual fashion boom has been thriving in the women's game. This week at the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera, we've seen that in full bloom.

Danielle Kang pulled up to Riviera in true L.A. style, with a pair of multi-colored parachute pants that look straight out of the ‘80s. Chic, effortless and totally out of the box for a women’s major, the look was instantly the talk of social media. Kang noticed, prompting her to confess the pants were actually from Amazon and post a link to her Instagram Story. The best part? They're only $33.

They come in four colorways, so I bought both pairs she had worn so far, cream with green and light blue and navy. And as Amazon does so well, my pants arrived in two days. Here are my honest thoughts.

First and foremost, they’re insanely comfortable. The material is 100% Nylon and surprisingly soft. The fit is great, the colors are bright and fun, and they’re a great standout piece to an outfit. They’re super lightweight and breathable, but the material is pretty thin. The cream pair is quite sheer, so if you’re going to wear them on the course, a pair of lightweight shorts underneath is probably necessary. But for $33, I didn’t expect high-end quality.

My golf style is relatively traditional, so I’m not sure these are something I’d wear on the course, but they’re a fun pair of streetwear pants to wear out and about that didn’t break the bank. But if there’s anyone who can pull them off, especially at a women’s major, it’s Danielle Kang.
