Fashion Dimes: The Women of Malbon Are Making a Statement at U.S. Women's Open

Since Malbon Women's launched in 2023, the brand has been collecting LPGA ambassadors like infinity stones—now, they're kicking things into the next gear.

ERIN, WIS. — I've been eagerly awaiting this moment. The moment when Malbon would flex that they arguably have the coolest LPGA players brand roster, and take it to the next level, kitting them for majors in a big way.

We've seen the beloved golf x streetwear brand pull out all the stops for the oh-so-charming Jason Day time and time again, and we all eat it up. Even if it's not my particular taste, I appreciate the effort of pushing the rigid golf attire boundaries and starting necessary conversations.

From a straight up groutfit sweatsuit to a sleek, Euro summer-inspired cardigan—JDay has been the PGA TOUR's resident smooth operator.

But I'd be lying if I said that I haven't been patiently waiting for Malbon to do the same for its female faces.

With stars Charley Hull, Minjee Lee (the cooler sister of Min Woo...sorry not sorry), Lee6, Gigi Stoll, and Nataliya Guseva—the potential to serve up some looks feels limitless. Malbon Women has grown exponentially in the last two years. Introducing new lines and collections, playing around with hemlines and fabrics that feel and look refreshed for the course. It's been revolutionary step towards fashion-forward, conscious golf styling but we haven't had a major fashion moment in women's professional golf...until now.

It started with a casual IG announcement. A cheeky little graphic that looks a bit like the intro animation from the hit 90s sitcom "The Nanny", chronicling Hull, Lee, Guseva and giving them well wishes for the major week ahead.

But it's more than well wishes, it's an easter egg for what will come.

Thursday at Erin Hills was a statement for Team Malbon, finally giving us the intentional attention that its women's golf collection has rightfully earned.

Nataliya Guseva, the 22 year old Russian pro golfer who's in her second season on the LPGA Tour, stood out amongst the rest dawning the golf pants of my dreams.

High-waisted, stretchy, straight-leg pants with a 70s funk pattern is exactly what I'd expect and want from Malbon. Guseva styled the Nora pant in a new colorway, oil multi, a sexy, green and yellow almost chartreuse-y shade.

She expertly allowed the pants to be the star of the show, toning down the rest of her look with an off-white Malbon windbreaker, as it was chillier conditions around Erin Hills on Thursday.

Hull and Lee, the other two players who will be rocking some curated looks, kept it steadfast, not making a tone of noise with their opening round looks. Hull went stealth mode in an all-black look. While, Lee rocked a soft, butter yellow-ish polo and black trousers.

I hope to see more from both of them as the week progresses—the time to mix it up and do something fun is now, on what is arguably women's golf's biggest stage.

It appears that Lee6 isn't apart of the campaign this week and Stoll isn't in the USWO field—but they've have been the ones to throw the best Malbon fits in the past.

And I hope that they begin to serve as more inspo for their fellow ambassadors. Malbon has the opportunity to take command of the style conversation in women's pro golf and move the needle significantly.
