Ryder Cup week is officially here...in New York...what a time to be alive. I'll go ahead and say it, as a NYC-based golfer this feels like my Super Bowl.
The rowdy fans. All the different events. And the golf...my god the golf is going to be so good. This is what dreams are made of.
But with so much to do, regardless if you live here or you're traveling in, thinking about what to wear to different functions is a tall task. Fear not my sweet baddies, here's a guide to help you percolate some outfit ideas no matter where this wild and wonderful week in the Big Apple may take you.

(Author's note: All looks are team agnostic. We're not tying ourselves down to patriotic color palettes.)
Dressing for golf when you're not playing it isn't the easiest thing to do, especially for us girls. It's like we equally have too many and too little options to choose from. Should you wear pants? Do you need a collar? It can be painstakingly difficult to formulate the perfect look, so it's always best to simplify it as much as you can.
Which is exactly why I almost always choose to wear a dress. It takes so much out of the equation. No need to find the right top to go with the right pair of pants—you just style it up with a few accessories and you're good to go!

A flirty twist to the typical red, white, and blue/stars and stripes vibe people try to channel for the Ryder Cup. The deep indigo and white pinstripe is such a fun take that will elevate an on-course, spectator look.

The perfect cool-girl trouser. The rich, copper brown is quintessentially fall.

BUY NOWYour golfing fit is covered, and so is your party look, but if you're in town you're probably hoping to bop around a bit and see some of the sites. Perhaps you're looking to catch a matinee on Broadway, or want to track down the best slice—whatever you're into, you're going to want to dress the part of the native New Yorker, channeling off-duty model vibes.
Dressy enough that you look pulled together, but you also don't want to come off as if you're trying too hard. It's a delicate dance, that I have yet to quite perfect myself after living here for years but here's what I'd go for if I were you.
(Pro tip: Track pants are IN.)
A little knit golf tee is always something to keep in your rotation.
