Masters week delivered what it always does. Great golf, better storylines, and a style conversation that somehow feels both fresh and familiar at the same time. From brand momentum to free agency fits, here are the five thoughts I keep coming back to.
There was a time not long ago when the question was if Nike was back.
Fast forward, and you have Rory McIlroy going back-to-back, Scottie Scheffler right there, and a full week where Nike sat at the center of the style conversation. The double swoosh nod to Seve worked in flashes. Brooks Koepka leaned into mock necks that felt very Nike. Not everyone loved it. That is kind of the point.

My biggest takeaway is that restraint still matters. Seeing Rory close it out clean on Sunday felt right. That moment belonged to him, not a concept.
Tommy Fleetwood has turned getting dressed into must watch content. Every round feels like a reveal. Lululemon pleats, Late Nine tops, even Augusta merch.
It is chaos in the best way. The oversized trousers keep pushing the conversation forward while that Blackstone hat somehow steals the show every time. It makes you wonder if a loud logo on the right player is actually the most valuable placement in the sport.

With Jason Day, the conversation always circles back to what gets approved.
That is just part of the deal now. But when it hits, it hits. The butter yellow look was the one. Texture, soft color, and tailoring that actually fits. Simple idea, hard to execute, but when it lands it feels effortless.

For a sport that has fully embraced sneakers, this week felt quiet. A lot of safe white pairs, not much risk. Understandable given where we are, but still underwhelming.
The standout was FootJoy and the Packard 445. Teased by Adam Scott, worn by Cameron Young, and gone almost instantly. A reminder that when heritage meets timing, people pay attention.
This is where things get interesting. The gap between taste and revenue is wider than ever. Egg salad hats everywhere.
A thousand dollar bag selling out in minutes.
Both can exist at the same time. That is the reality of growth. Not all of it will feel good, but it is part of the evolution.
It was a magical week. The kind everyone builds toward. Too much content, not enough agreement, and that is exactly how it should be. Style in golf is still finding its balance between tradition and expression. We are not there yet, but we are getting closer. And like always, we will all be back next year ready to do it again.
