There are “Not For Golf” moments.
And then there’s this.
Jason Kelce just posted what might be the most on-brand, off-the-rails golf experiment we’ve seen in a minute. Thirteen years in the NFL apparently does something to your ankles. And according to Kelce, traditional golf shoes weren’t cutting it. So instead of switching brands, he called Dom.
Not a designer.
Not a tour rep.
Dom the Cobbler from South Philly.
When Nike discontinued the cleats Kelce loved during his playing days, Dom tracked pairs down from other locker rooms and literally re-sewed the soles when the glue rotted out. So the logic here was simple: if Dom can resurrect NFL cleats, why not Frankenstein spikes onto boots?
And that’s exactly what they did.

We're not making any judgements on Kelce's choices, but will offer some alternatives for golfers looking for boot-like golf shoes with a little less DIY work.
