An arrest affidavit for Tiger Woods’ crash was released on Tuesday, and we now have a clearer picture of what happened at the end of last week.
According to the affidavit, Tiger’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his pupils were dilated, and he appeared lethargic during several field sobriety tests—these were conducted while Tiger was seated after he made the officers aware of his extensive injury history to his back and legs.

Tiger told the sheriff’s deputy that he was looking at his phone and changing the radio station just before the accident, and he didn’t see the truck slowing down ahead of him, according to the affidavit. The report details that wo white pills were found in Tiger’s pants pocket, later identified as hydrocodone.
The affidavit also states that Tiger told the officers he had not consumed alcohol, but he takes “a few” prescription drugs and had taken some earlier that day.
Tiger took a breathalyzer test and blew 0.000, but refused urinalysis. He spent a mandatory eight hours in Martin County Jail and was released just before 11:30 p.m. ET on Friday.

According to a report from NUCLR GOLF, Tiger has continued to practice following his release. When the Masters released an updated field to include Gary Woodland, Tiger was still listed.
Regardless of the outcome, the next few days are going to be very interesting. The first round of the Masters is nine days away.
