We're so Here For Michelle Wie West's Comeback

Wiezy's comeback is everything to me.

Earlier this year, Michelle Wie West announced that she will be coming out of retirement to play in the inaugural season of WTGL. Flash forward to this week, and the five-time LPGA winner has declared that she'll be teeing it up at the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera!

Wie West wrote to Instagram saying, "With one final year of eligibility from my victory in 2014 and the Championship headed to an iconic venue that means so much to me, I am excited to announce that I’ll be teeing it up at the U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera in June!"

Per the USGA rules, any player who wins the U.S. Women's Open is exempt from qualifying for the next 10 editions of the tournament.

I don't know about y'all, but I am seriously loving how much Michelle Wie content we've been getting. Her farewell party at Pebble Beach back in 2023 wasn't big enough, in my opinion. Wie West's talent and popularity transcended generations, and to this day, I regard her as one of the best and most marketable players in golf. Her presence has influence, and this is exciting news.

This year's USWO is headed to the city of Angels to Riviera—the first time the event has hosted a women's major. So not only are we getting an iconic venue, but the star power this championship will bring is unbeatable.
