I’m crying in the club right now.
Rory McIlroy seldom posts on social media, but winning the Masters, Green Jacket, and Career Grand Slam was enough to get his content team working. And it’s a banger.
Enjoy.
He also changed his Twitter bio—I will never say X, get over it—to “Grand Slam winner.” If that’s not one of the best flexes you’ve ever seen, I don’t know what would be.
On Sunday, McIlroy became the sixth player in the history of golf to complete the Career Grand Slam. It was his fifth major championship win, his first since 2014.
His next major start will come at the PGA Championship next month, an event taking place at Quail Hollow. If you’re unfamiliar with the Northern Irishman’s history there, he’s won in Charlotte four times, including just last season.
Like he said after he slipped into the Green Jacket, you can’t win all four majors in one year unless you win the first.
