It was a busy off season for the LPGA Tour, and after a short couple of months, the action returns for dare I say...one of my favorite weeks of the year.

The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, casually referred to as TOC, is a special event for a lot of reasons. As the Tour's season opener, they love to really ring in the new year with a bang. From concerts all week long, headlined by none other than Kelly freaking Clarkson, to an A-List celebrity field—it's no question that TOC is the party on Tour! And the golf is pretty exceptional, too.
The pro field is comprised of winners from the 2024 and 2025 seasons, who will compete for $2.1 million in a traditional 72-hole stroke play format. There will be no cut due to the limited field.
This year's field is considerably larger than past years, with 39 confirmed LPGA pros. Last season, we saw a record 29 different winners on tour, so we'll see a new crop of players competing in this event for the first time, including world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul. She's a seven-time winner on the LPGA, but Thitikul has skipped the event for various reasons over the years, including injury.
TOC also begins the new era of broadcast. Starting this week, every LPGA Tour event and every round will be presented live across the U.S. for the first time since Golf Channel began televising the LPGA Tour in 1995.
