HOUSTON, Texas — Picture this: you get a sponsor invitation a week before a major championship, in your home state no less, while you're in the midst of finals for school, and you're scheduled to play in a qualifier for the next major on a Monday morning...man, I got exhausted just from typing that.

But this is Farah O'Keefe's reality, and she's doing it all while also being in contention at the 2026 Chevron Championship.

The Texas Longhorn teed it up at the Augusta National Women's Amateur earlier this month, and at the time, she hadn't heard anything about being in the Chevron field. "It was kind of last minute. Got it right after ANWA," O'Keefe said after her opening round of 68 at Memorial Park.

"It was kind of always one of those things where I was like, dang, I'm from Texas. It's the only event in Texas. That would be really, really special to play in the Chevron. And then when the invitation came I was like, all right, cool. We got it. It's game time. Let's go."

It's insanely impressive how she's handling her Chevron debut, but this is only just the beginning of a very busy stretch for the WAGR World No. 4.

Immediately following the conclusion of this week's major championship, O'Keefe is hoping on a flight early Monday morning to play in a qualifier for the U.S. Women's Open.

"[I'm] trying to stock up on sleep now and figure it out later," said the 20-year-old. It's a good thing she's young. " I hope I play the weekend, and just going to play my game, and then I have like an 8:30 flight out of whatever the closest airport is. I am flying directly to Florida. I will get there at like 12:00 in the morning and drive an hour to my airbnb and then I tee it up at 8:30. So 36 holes. Yeah, that will be fun."

Godspeed Farah, godspeed.
