This week feels as good as any to fire up those Duolingo streaks and practice some French in between commercial breaks as the LPGA takes on the Champions Course at the Evian Resort Golf Club for the 2025 Evian Championship.

It's the Tour's fourth major of the season and it's bringing in all the views—like seriously, the FOMO we're experiencing is off the charts. Nestled between the French and Swiss border, surrounded by the Alps and Lake Geneva—Evian is easily the most aesthetically pleasing tournament on the schedule, and it's also bringing some cool storylines.
This week, the field is truly a mixed bag with Evian being a co-sanctioned major between the LPGA and the LET, which means the field is split between players from both tours. This year, there are 13 athletes who played their way into the field through the 2024 or 2025 LET Order of Merit. The order of merit is a season-long points-based ranking system that determines the top-performing players, and who gets rewarded for their great play. We'll get to see some new faces compete this week that we maybe haven't seen at the other majors.
There are also seven amateurs who were awarded spots in the Evian field including Lottie Woad, who just won last week at the KPMG Women's Irish Open. Competing alongside Woad is another familiar amateur—the 2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur champion, Carla Bernat Escuder.
