*In Partnership with Wells Fargo*
It's not every day that you get to play a round of golf with a major winner. And despite being around the game for 98 percent of my life, I'm forever in awe of it, and the places it has taken me.
As a youngster, I was introduced to golf by my father, but it wasn't until I joined my local First Tee that I really started loving it. At first, I was just there for the vibes, becoming good at golf was an afterthought. That change rather quickly. My First Tee coaches and the program framework empowered me to not only connect with my fellow chapter members, but also embrace the nation-wide network of the organization and take advantage of the opportunities placed in front of me.
Since 1997, First Tee has worked to grow the game of golf through its nine core values, impacting more than two million kids in the process. But they didn't do it alone. Through amazing partnerships like the one with Wells Fargo, the lives of the next generation of junior golfers will continue to be better and more well-rounded.
Even as an alum, First Tee has continued to grant me cool opportunities—like playing a few holes with PGA TOUR vet Webb Simpson along with three other alum: Nyla Sims, Kristin Nwadike, and Anthony Ford.
We had ourselves quite the day—from chatting about the best foods to eat on the course to our favorite memories with the First Tee—there wasn't a shortage of fun (or laughs).
I think Simpson is one of the friendliest, most down to earth people I've had the pleasure of meeting. He fit in with the group seamlessly and was cracking jokes right alongside us. (And bless his heart, keeping up with four Gen-Z'ers and our TikTok references is tough work.)
He didn't shy away from a single question we threw his way, and of course, he offered up plenty of golf tips.
But most importantly, he took the time getting to know each of us and our backgrounds with the First Tee—because it's a relationship that he values, too.

And he's not alone in that, his fellow TOUR pros Brendon Todd and David Ford joined us later in the day to host a putting clinic for the kids of the First Tee of Metro Atlanta.
I mean, talk about a perfect day. Rubbing shoulders with three TOUR pros getting to pick their brains about the game we all love, while celebrating an organization that means the world to all of us.
This is growing the game.
