It was only a couple of months ago at the Players that the Spider ZT made its PGA Tour Debut, and the internet was buzzing. Then it was just a few weeks ago at the Valero Texas Open, where Brian Harman won with it, and golfers everywhere were asking - when will this be available? Well, now we can finally say it has officially arrived.
Low Torque Shaft Orientation - The placement of the shaft into the head directly above the putters center of gravity allows the putter to move with the face angle square to the arc of the path making it easy to square the face and reduce right and left missed.
High Stability Design - To allow the Spider ZT to be zero-torque, while also creating an extremely stable design, the TaylorMade engineers utilize a multi-material construction featuring a higher density 303-stainless steel front section of the putters and significantly lighter 6062 aluminium back that makes up roughly 75 percent of the putter's front to back geometry
Better Alignment Trough Design - Based on the orientation of the shaft and players alignment tendencies, designers tweaked the ZT sole to have a different camber (sole curvature) to work better with more golfers and improve alignment.
Milled True Path - With True Path Alignment being a key part of the Spider putter line, TaylorMade tweaked the design and visual cues with fine milled lines on the topline of the putter the same size as the diameter of a golf ball. This helps golfers align to the middle of the face, without adding to the already contrasting colors of the putter head.
