Earlier this year, Odyssey debuted the S2S Tri-Hot putters to much delight and some chagrin based on the fact that, beyond pushing the center of gravity and shaft axis more forward in a zero-torque design, they all pushed the price to $600.

Now to be honest, the company's newest release, the SB models, isn't any different when it comes to price, but there is one big change to the design philosophy that could get more golfers to try them out. That's where the "SB" part, which stands for single bend, comes in.
This new shaft configuration creates a more familiar look at address while maintaining all of the technology and forgiveness at the core of S2S Tri-Hot putters. This means golfers get the tech they want in a look they prefer.

The new S2S Tri-Hot SB putters use over 140 grams of tungsten in the head to help position more than 80 percent of the putter's mass under the topline. This mass shift not only helps to create the zero-torque design, but it also allows the putter to have an extremely high moment of inertia to increase forgiveness.
The rear of the putter is milled from aluminum, which is just under 14 times lighter than tungsten when comparing their mass to volume values of (2.7g cm3) vs (19.3g cm3).
The new Ai-Dual insert serves a dual purpose (see what I did there?). It promotes consistent ball speeds and feel on putts hit around the face, thanks to its AI architecture that uses urethanes of varying densities, and it promotes forward ball roll.

The improved forward roll comes from a more aggressive 19-degree slope angle built into deeper face grooves to get the ball rolling sooner after impact. And since everything needs a name, Callaway calls this its “Forward Roll Design.”

You might think a grip is just a grip, but in reality a ton of time goes into grip materials and geometry to make sure golfers feel instantly connected to their putter. For the new Pistol Plus, Callaway's tour team surveyed the most popular putter grips on tour and talked with players to develop a shape that worked with the S2S designs.
The result is a new mid-sized pistol grip that combines a pistol shape in the top hand with an almost parallel front side to encourage better club face angle control and alignment.
There is also a longer 17" grip that shares the same profile for the Cruiser model to help counterbalance the heavier head weight.
When it comes to the new S2S Tri-Hot SB, they are available for pre-order starting today, and will be in retail stores beginning on April 24th.
All three standard putter models will be priced at $600, with the cruiser options being $650.
