With seven new models to choose from in their new SYSTM2 line, TaylorMade is demonstrating that when it comes to putters, they can do more than just make Spiders.

What separates the new System 2 (I'm going to spell it the normal way from here on out) putters from others TaylorMade has made in the past is the combination of precision milling and the use of MIM (Metal Injection Molding) to change mass properties to increase forgiveness in classic putter shapes.

This helps to deliver premium feel and roll properties, plus a cool look that can help with alignment.
By crafting each head from soft 304 stainless steel with precision-milled faces and our signature two-tone finish, we've created a complete system for every golfer. Whether a player prefers a compact blade, needs the forgiveness of our wide-body Del Monte, or wants a traditional mid-mallet, SYSTM2 ensures that golfers can find the perfect putter to match their stroke.
Andrew Oldknow, Director of Product Creation, Putters

As mentioned off the top, something that separates the System 2 putters from others in TaylorMade's line is a milled face with scored grooves rather than an insert. These grooves are cut into the milled 304 stainless steel face to optimize feel and roll.
Behind those milled faces are MIM bodies that help to redistribute mass and increase forgiveness. By using this method, TaylorMade can both engineer extra stability and offer an expanded model collection without increasing the overall cost per unit.
Did I just mention the forbidden topic of manufacturing costs?
Sure did! And, I don't think this should be such an icky-feeling discussion.
What this actually shows when you look at the available seven options is that there are three neck options: a traditional L-Neck, a shorter L-Neck, and a Single Bend. With the ability to scale three neck options into seven models (not including left-handed options - the cost is naturally lower).
This means you get more putter options and a nice tech package for a great price. $250 each to be exact.

Last but not least, something made possible based on the construction method, the System 2 putters feature a two-tone look which can be an added benefit when it comes to alignment.
The faces and necks have a hydro-blasted finish, while the flanges and bodies have a durable dark black PVD finish. This visual aid can make it easier to line the putter up square to the line to help get putts started on target more often.
Blades: Soto, Juno, & Del Monte L-Neck options for both right and left-handed golfers.
Mallets: L-Neck Models - Bandon & Ardmore for both right and left-handed golfers. Single Bend Models - Bandon & Ardmore for right-handed golfers only.
The TaylorMade SYSTSM 2 Putters will be available starting today, March 26th, online and at TaylorMade retail accounts. All models are priced at $250.
