Titleist U505 & T250U Utilities: Speed Meets Playability

In addition to the new T-Series, Titleist has added two new utilities to offer golfers more options at the top end of the bag.

Hello and welcome to another club launch piece brought to you by Skratch. (Best read in old-timey news broadcaster voice) Since there is a LOT going on in the world of irons today with the release of the 2025 Titleist T-Series irons, I'm going to do my best to get you up to speed on something else that dropped today - the Titleist T250U and U505 utilities.

U505 & T250 Technologies

Singular design: Like the new T250 and T350 irons, the T250U and U505 utilize a singular hollow-body design to offer clean looks and improved performance and feel.

Forged L-Face: The forged face plate wraps around the leading edge to allow for more compliance (fancy engineering word for flexibility) to help increase ball speeds and raise the launch angle on lower face strikes.

Max Impact: This internal technology helps to support the face and tune acoustics without reducing the face's ability to flex and rebound. This means more distance and greater consistency.

Split Tungsten Weighting: Tungsten positioned on the heel and toe areas of the club heads helps to greatly increase MOI for stability on mishits.

Utilities occupy a very specific part of the bag for most players. They may be distance clubs, but golfers still need them to go a precise number and fly in a specific window so that you can hit and hold greens on the golf course," Marni Ines, Titleist’s Director of Iron Development said. "Our focus is to design a lineup of utilities that launch the ball up in the air really high, fly consistently far and offer plenty of stability and forgiveness, which is exactly what new T250•U and U•505 utilities are built to do.

U505

With a longer blade profile and wider sole, the U505 works like a hybrid-powered utility. The larger face and shallow profile make it perform like a true driving iron, especially in the lower lofted options.

Lofts: 16° (1-iron), 18° (2-iron), 20° (3-iron), and 22° (4-iron)

T250U

As the name suggests, the T250U offers the same profile as the standard T250 iron, with the difference being a slight tweak in head weight and a parallel hosel vs a taper one to allow for more graphite shaft options.

Lofts: 18° (2-iron), 20° (3-iron), 22° (4-iron)
