Winning the Masters requires solid driving, keen ball striking, and of course, a steady putter.
One of the most interesting stats about the last 10 Masters winners is that wins are evenly split between blade and mallet putters, whereas on tour, mallet putters have been winning at a much higher rate.
Another little nugget is that even with mallets and blades splitting wins, 6 of 10 have been won with putters that have inserts. The players using the lone blade with an insert was Patrick Reed when he won in 2018 with an Odyssey blade featuring a White Hot insert.
