Callaway Has Completed Its Triple Diamond Line—And It Includes a New Mini Driver

Plus, expanded fitting options with TD (Tour Draw) and MAX Model. Here's a look.

What's at the core of Elyte Triple Diamond?

With Callaway’s Elyte series, their designers put focus on how segmenting clubs within the product line can help golfers find a performance advantage. This is made possible with the help of artificial intelligence and the ever-growing database they can draw from to create differentiation. The lineup debuted in January with the Elyte (Core), X, Max Fast, and Triple Diamond models but now to help more players on the higher end of the swing speed spectrum find lower spin performance Callaway is adding two more models to the Triple Diamond sub-series; the Triple Diamond TD (Tour Draw), and Triple Diamond MAX.

Oh, and before I forget (how could I really?), Callaway is also introducing their newest Elyte Mini Driver- hey, when you got a name that works, you stick with it!

Core Design Features and Technologies

New faster shape

To help golfers gain speed, the geometry of the entire driver series has been adjusted to increase aerodynamic efficiency — this new shape also helps increase MOI to boost forgiveness relative to the model's design traits.

New Ai10X face design

Building off of Paradym Ai Smoke, Callaway engineers were able to input 10 times more user data to help their AI models optimize the face geometry to further reduce spin variation and dispersion on shots hit around the face.

New crown materials

By drawing inspiration from the aerospace industry, engineers are using a new Thermoforged carbon to replace more titanium in the crown of the drivers. This creates better weight distribution, leading to more mass movement in the heads.

Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Driver Models

Triple Diamond (refresher)

Designed for players on the fastest end of the club head speed spectrum, the triple diamond models offer workability, a smaller neutral to fade bias shape, and low spin performance.

Triple Diamond TD (Tour Draw)

From the outside the TD doesn’t look any different than the standard Triple Diamond model but its what on the inside that counts and the TD features adjusted internal weighting to help close the clubface easier and promote and more draw biased ball flight. It also helps maintain ball speeds and reduce spin axis for golfer who tend to miss towards the heel.

Triple Diamond MAX

Although it looks similar the standard Triple Diamond, the MAX is best described (at least in my head) as something created if the Elyte Core and the Triple Diamond had a baby. It has the Triple Diamond front and back adjustable weighting, but with a slightly longer front to back and shallower profile to increase MOI. Making it the perfect choice for someone in need of spin reduction while still maintaining a solid amount of forgiveness.

Elyte Mini

When it comes to the new mini, lets not get overly complicated. It features all of the new technology of the Elyte driver series, including the 3-way adjustable weighting on the rear of the club (this is the first time Callaway is bringing this to a mini-driver) and it’s built on a 340cc platform. This 340cc size is the same size as the very popular Ai Smoke Mini that came before it and positions Callaway as having the largest mini driver on the market making it one of the best choices for those who will mostly dedicate this club to use off the tee.

The new Elyte Triple Diamond TD and MAX drivers along with the Elyte Mini will be available starting on April 4th. The Max and TD drivers will be priced at $650 and the Mini will be priced at $450. As for loft and model availability, the TD will only be available in right-handed in lofts of 9° and 10.°5, while the Max will come in right-handed and left-handed in 9°, and right-hand only for the 10.5° head. The Mini on the other hand with be available in 11.5° and 13.5° in both right and left-handed.
