As Labor Day Weekend approaches, the final scramble to soak up the last bits of summer has commenced. But don't fret, fall is looming—and so are the color trends for the season.
Gone are the days of the earthy toned, pumpkin spice latte-coded, Christian Girl Autumn outfits—though sometimes appropriate—we can be more creative than that. Summer's end doesn't equate death to colorful threads. In fact, we're all better off when a touch of vibrance meets our wardrobes, it makes the impending seasonal affective disorder symptoms less apparent.
In recent memory, color stories like icy blue and cherry red have dominated the fall fashion color palette, and I expect this year to be much of the same. People want color, and your golf wardrobe isn't exempt from this treatment, either.
Kickstarting the new season, Rhone teamed up with its LPGA player ambassador Lilia Vu to create a limited, three-piece capsule to embrace the two-time major winner's signature shade—fuchsia. Any given week out on tour, she can be seen sporting the color. She'll even rock it off the course!
Over the past year, Rhone has worked closely with the LPGA Tour as a partner to ensure that players are getting the very best support both physically and mentally. "I just started working with a sports psych. I was kinda explaining to him all my slumps and all my wins," Vu shared in an announcement for the collection.
"We've noticed that when I come into a tournament with almost low to expectation, I end up playing really well. I did do well that I ended up having a fantastic year in 2023, and I won four times that year...Slowly I went into this mindset where I expected to win and that was definitely not productive at all. It took the fun away from golf."
This capsule is a testament to Vu's golf journey. Despite the wins and success, she still trying to find that place in her mind that finds peace—and it's as simple as a color.
"Fuchsia has always been my confidence color," explained Vu. "And bringing it to the course with a brand that champions both performance and Mental Fitness feels incredibly special. When I feel my best, I play my best."
The collection features three signature pieces from the brand's made for golf collection, the Course to Court collection: a polo, skirt, and quarter zip.
Relaxed, performance driven silhouettes that let the color do the talking. It's a loud shade, but it can be styled well with intention.
As the fall gets ushered in, think deeper contrasting colors to ground your fit—burgundy, olive green, navy. To keep it warm or light and airy, go for a soft sky blue or a golden, almost camel-like yellow/orange.
Rhone and Vu have set the tone for what's to come in fall golf fashion, so get ahead of the curve and embrace the vibrance. Be bold. Be daring. And if you try hard enough, summer can last forever—style doesn't know seasons!
