We’ve said it before, golf could use more Player Exclusives. Thirty-plus weeks of Tour golf and we’re still cycling the same general releases and tech drops. But every once in a while, a shoe shows up that feels different. That has some personality. That lets an athlete speak through the product.
Nike just dropped a Player Exclusive (PE) for Nelly Korda, and it’s a perfect case study in what this lane could look like. The triple Swoosh treatment in yellow and red already pops, but the real surprise is that gold bracelet detail dancing across the heel, complete with tiny charms, including a mini golf ball, tennis racket, and smiley face. It’s playful, stylish, unmistakably Nelly. That’s the point. The NBA’s been doing this for decades. PE colorways that reflect the player’s game, their story, their mood. Golf? We’re still tiptoeing. But shoes like this prove the space is wide open.
Let players create. Let them surprise us. Let them cook.
