Twenty weeks ago I pointed out something that felt pretty obvious. Justin Thomas showed up to his first TGL match of the season without Greyson, the apparel brand he'd been wearing for years. Greyson had disappeared from his personal website, Justin was gone from Greyson's ambassador page, and while nothing was ever officially announced, the math wasn't exactly difficult.
Since then, I've probably spent more time than I'd like to admit covering what has basically become Justin Thomas' apparel free agency.
And for 20 straight weeks, one item has absolutely defeated me.
His pants.

When I say this has bothered me, I mean it. I've spent hours zooming into Getty Images looking at pocket openings, belt loops, stitching, hems, seam placement, button shapes, fabric drape, literally anything that could point me in the right direction. Every search somehow ends with AI recommending the most unhinged Amazon dupes imaginable.
I've refused to DM anyone or ask Justin directly. At this point it's become a matter of principle.
Somewhere along the way this stopped being about the pants and became about whether I could actually solve the mystery on my own. It turned into one giant game of Clue, and every tournament brought another clue without ever revealing who actually made the pants. I kid you not, in the past month I've played clue with my kids 10+ times
The problem is Justin has two things that make this nearly impossible: good taste and money.
When you have both, your options are endless. He's well traveled, has relationships throughout fashion and golf, and could probably call just about any brand and have a pair made or sent over. Add to that the fact that about 95 percent of the trousers he's worn this season have zero visible branding, and you've got the perfect style mystery.
I've confirmed a few different pants have rotated through the lineup over the last several months, but this particular aqua pair in this particular style? Nothing. He's worn this pant in a number of different colors this season. No logo. No signature construction detail. No breadcrumb.
So today, I officially wave the white flag.
I don't know what Justin Thomas is wearing.
What I do know is they're incredibly good trousers. Until the mystery is solved, here are a few pairs that capture a similar vibe.
