At first glance, the Richard Mille RM 38-02 Tourbillon Bubba Watson feels like the ultimate Augusta flex. A $2.5 million watch, worn mid-round, in a place built on restraint and tradition. But with Bubba, nothing is ever just for show.

This piece is the result of a partnership that’s been evolving for over a decade. It's a collaboration that turned golf into a proving ground for modern watchmaking. The RM 38-02 is the fourth watch bearing his name, limited to just 50 pieces, and built from materials like Carbon TPT—designed to handle the violence of a professional swing.
“I have been pushing Richard for a pink watch for ten years,” Bubba said when it finally released (TalkSport). Pink, for him, isn’t aesthetic, it’s identity. “Pink, to me, is about giving, about charity. My pink driver that I play golf with has helped me raise millions of dollars for charity,” he’s explained, tying it directly to the driver that’s helped raise millions off the course.
Even the watch itself mirrors that personality. The pink quartz case and exposed architecture weren’t just design choices; they were technical risks. Combining multiple advanced materials without blending them was “a real technical challenge,” pushing the limits of how these watches are actually built.

Bubba has never been traditional. Not in his swing, not in his path, and definitely not in his style. As he once put it, “I never dreamed of having a watch with my name on it.” Now he wears one that feels less like jewelry and more like a reflection of how he sees the game.
At Augusta, where so much is scripted, the RM 38-02 is a reminder that some players still write their own story.
