Our Five Must-Watch Groups for Thursday and Friday at the Masters

We'll be seated for these five groups on Thursday and Friday at the Masters.

Tee times for the first 36 holes of the Masters have been released and there are dozens of incredible groups—there isn’t a tournament on Earth that creates better pairings up and down the board than Augusta National.

World No. 1 and two-time Green Jacket winner Scottie Scheffler will play with Justin Thomas and amateur Jose Luis Ballester, but that threesome didn’t crack our top five.

This group is loaded with storylines. Morikawa is one of the favorites and has three straight top-10 finishes at the Masters. Niemann has been one of the best players on LIV but hasn’t grabbed a top-10 at a major yet. Lee just got his first win in Houston, can he back it up? Get your popcorn ready.

Friday: 1:01 p.m. ET

Hideki Matsuyama, Bryson DeChambeau, and Shane Lowry

Bryson is must-watch TV, so this group was almost an auto-pick just off that. But Lowry has played some fantastic golf this season and Matsuyama is always in the conversation at Augusta. The winner could very well come from this group.

Friday: 10:15 a.m. ET

Phil Mickelson, Jason Day, and Keegan Bradley

The United States Ryder Cup captain, an always entertaining three-time Masters champion who’s been playing some great golf on LIV, and a guy with the most anticipated wardrobe in recent years. This group’s a banger.

Friday: 1:12 p.m ET

Jordan Spieth, Tom Kim, and Tyrrell Hatton

Spieth at Augusta is always magic, Kim is here to have a good time, and we might see Hatton flip off a green or drop a nice F-bomb, ya never know. Buckle up with these three in the same group.
