The LPGA's first full-field event of the season is happening now, here's how to watch the Founders Cup

Who to watch, how to watch and what everyone is talking about: Here's everything you need to know as the LPGA Founders Cup kicks off week two of the 2025 season.

Coming off of Tournament of Champions, also known as the "Party on Tour" feels a bit like a whirlwind. Between the limited, no-cut field and all the celebrity buzz— it's not a usual week on tour. But this week, the LPGA is back to business for the Founders Cup presented by U.S. Virgin Islands.

Founders Cup, which usually occurs much later in the schedule (typically in April or May), is a week of remembrance and recognition across the LPGA and its organizations. It's an event dedicated to the 13 founders of the LPGA and how far their legacy stretches into women's golf.

It's the first full field event of the season, marking the countdown to the first major of the year, the Chevron Championship in April. The prep for major season begins now, here's what you need to and how to tune in this week.

The Field

This is the second LPGA Tour event hosted at Bradenton Country Club. Last year's event at Bradenton, the LPGA Drive On Championship, kicked off Nelly Korda's incredible win streak. She won the title in a two-hole playoff with Lydia Ko.

Korda and Ko lead the list of preliminary entries for the 2025 Founders Cup. The field also includes champions Celine Boutier, Allisen Corpuz, Ayaka Furue, Hannah Green, Brooke Henderson, Danielle Kang and Yuka Saso.

Additionally, major champion and Florida native Lexi Thompson, who stepped away from full-time golf in 2024, will compete in Bradenton, as well as two-time major champion Brittany Lincicome, who's in the field as one of two sponsor exemptions.

The History: Celebrating the 13 Founders

This is the 14th edition of the Founders Cup, an event dedicated to celebrating the 13 founding members of the LPGA Tour, who created the association in 1950.

Founders is always a special event on tour, honoring the past, present, and future of women's golf through a series of activations and on-site set ups. Given the 75th anniversary and the early playing of this tournament, it'll be interesting to see how the Tour will commemorate such a meaningful event.
