Keegan Bradley’s win at the Travelers Championship on Sunday made things a bit more complicated for the United States Ryder Cup team. All of a sudden, it feels like Bradley has to pick himself for the squad—if he doesn’t earn enough points from now until the BMW Championship to make the team as an automatic qualifier.
Despite the heartbreak finish, Tommy Fleetwood is up to No. 2 in the European Point Rankings, but I don’t think it was ever a question whether or not he’d be on Luke Donald’s roster.
But if the teams were made today, how would they be filled out?
On this week’s episode of Dan On Golf, Scratch’s Dan Rapaport was joined by Golf Digest’s Luke Kerr Dineen to make picks for both sides. Here’s how they did it:
Scottie Scheffler
Bryson DeChambeau
Xander Schauffele
J.J. Spaun
Collin Morikawa
Justin Thomas
Russell Henley
Sam Burns
Patrick Cantlay
Ben Griffin
Maverick McNealy
Keegan Bradley
Rory McIlroy
Viktor Hovland
Tyrrell Hatton
Jon Rahm
Ludvig Aberg
Tommy Fleetwood
Sepp Straka
Robert MacIntyre
Aaron Rai
Shane Lowry
Justin Rose
Rasmus Hojgaard
Also on this week’s DOG, Dan is joined by Bradley and talks his Travelers Championship win and the Ryder Cup, and previews this week’s Rocket Classic
