The grind of amateur golf never stops.

While most of us are still shaking off our post-Augusta National Women's Amateur and Masters fog, the best in the world have already moved on and are looking ahead to what's next. And if you were locked into ANWA then go ahead and circle June 12-14 on your calendars for the 44th iteration of the Curtis Cup Match.

The Curtis Cup is a biennial, Ryder Cup-like showdown between the top-ranked amateurs from the U.S., Great Britain and Ireland that serves as an incredible preview to the next ones up in women's golf.

Each team will be made up of eight female amateur players, and Team USA has already announced half of their squad.

World No. 1 Kiara Romero solidified her spot after earning the 2025 Mark H. McCormack Medal, which gets awarded to the top-ranked player in the WAGR rankings. She will be joined by fellow top Americans: Asterisk Talley, Farah O'Keefe, and 2022 ANWA champion Anna Davis.

O'Keefe, who is ranked 4th, was the second automatic qualifier behind Romero. The junior out of the University of Texas is having a breakout 2026, winning three collegiate events and being one of the favorites for this year's ANWA. She and Romero will both make their Curtis Cup debuts.

Asterisk Talley, a name who needs no introduction because her resume speaks for itself, has found herself back on the U.S. Curtis Cup squad after Megha Ganne declined her position on the team. Ganne, a senior at Stanford plans to turn professional before the event is held therefore frees up Talley to be the next one up.

This is huge for the Americans, not just because Talley is one of the most formidable players in the amateur game, but she comes with experience. This will be her second Curtis Cup appearance after competing in the 2024, where she defeated then-No. 1-ranked amateur Lottie Woad in the Sunday singles matches.

Rounding out the first four in the lineup is Anna Davis, junior at Auburn University. Davis was added to the team as a committee selection for her continued high-level performance. In addition to her electric win at ANWA four years ago when she was just 16 years old, Davis is now a two-time All-American and has won twice during the fall portion of the 2025-26 college season.

The remaining members of the team will also be added via the Selection Committee following the NCAA Division I Regional events next month.
