It's been a chilly, rainy start to the U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills Golf Course as players dial in their final prep before the first round commences.

ERIN, Wi. — We're less than 24 hours away from the start of the 80th U.S. Women's Open and final preparations are underway. Wednesday has been a soggy, dreary start with temps in the barely reaching the low 60s and rain falling at a steady cadence. Between the weather and the behemoth of a course that is Erin Hills GC, folks we are in for quite a major week.

This week, the best in the women's game will tee it up for the first time at the iconic Erin Hills—a course that has previously hosted four other USGA championships.

Before touching down in dairy country, world No. 3 Lydia Ko shared in her Tuesday presser her early, unique USWO prep.

"Yeah, in all honesty I watched some YouTube golf before coming here and seeing how they played and just kind of get an idea of what the golf course is like," Ko said, "Obviously it plays very differently compared to when the men played here in 2017. You don't really know until you get here."

She's just like us, for real. A Lydia Ko x Creator Classic crossover, when?

Ko explained further that the course will require some extra brain power—and we have no doubt the three-time major winner will embrace that challenge.

"The course is difficult. It's fun. I think you need a lot of creativity, and as for any U.S. Open, the course tends to change in regards to firmness and the green speed from Monday to Sunday," Ko said. "Yeah, I'm excited to see how the course changes over the next couple days, but yeah, it's a great golf course. I think it's fun."

Ko tees off Thursday morning at 7:40 a.m. CT.
