Scottie Scheffler is starting to make some noise at the PGA Championship. After opening with a bogey on the first, the World No. 1 almost aced the par-3 fourth but converted the birdie, then made two more on the fifth and seventh.
Standing on the eighth tee box, he was 7 under for the tournament and tied for the lead. When his tee shot was slicing towards the right trees, it looked like he was going to drop at least one. Then the impossible happened.
His ball was magically spit back into the fairway. The only possible explanation is Meredith was in there and she chucked it out.
After pitching it to nine feet with his second, Scheffler missed the putt. The ultimate ball don’t lie.
