Please, Solheim Cup Gods! Give Us Nelly Korda vs. Charley Hull Again.

There are few things better in women's golf than watching Nelly Korda and Charley Hull go head-to-head...it's like guaranteed box office stuff. But pitting them in against each other in a singles match at the Solheim Cup? Out of this world.

They are two of the biggest stars in the game, playing for their countries, in the game's superior format, which is exactly the kind of of matchup that makes the Solheim Cup so damn good! And two years ago in Virginia we got exactly that—except it didn't go the way Korda wanted—or really how anyone expected it to.

Hull absolutely cooked the World No. 1, taking her down 6&4 in one of the most emphatic singles matches of the 2024 Solheim Cup.

It was kind of bizarre to witness, and it felt like we were all waiting on Korda to find her footing and she never really did. All the while, Hull came out firing and never let up. The European star secured a crucial point for her team, and afterward explained that she had been told by captain Suzann Pettersen that she would be going up against Korda.

"I knew I had to go out there and shoot a low score," Hull said after the match. "And Suzann said to me they always knew I was going to play Nelly out first, and if anyone could beat her, I can." And, well, she did.

The Americans wound up winning the cup back in front of the home crowd thanks to a clutch putt from Lilia Vu on the 18th hole to secure a half point, defeating Europe 15.5-12.5, and yet, Korda still give credit where credit was due.

Shortly after the match, she took to Instagram with a caption that perfectly summed up what had just happened, "Thank you for the humbling a$$ whoopin @charley.hull ;)".

Iconic.

Now, two years later, the 20th edition of the rivalry touches down in the Netherlands for the first time, and Korda has another chance to even the score. The matchup isn't guaranteed, that's the beauty (and torture) of Solheim Cup captaincy, but if these two are paired up in singles again, you can bet we're going to be watching.

Between the trash talk, the gimme debate and their easy banter, Korda and Hull once again proved that they're pretty entertaining when they're in the same room. Now we just need them in the same match. (Angela...Anna...I'm begging you!!) Because if Nelly Korda vs. Charley Hull in singles was this good the first time around, we're absolutely ready for the rematch.
