As the LPGA's season cruises on into its Euro Summer, we look ahead to the next major—the Evian Championship. Evian (yes, like the water) begins a month long excursion in Europe for the Tour, where a few new faces will be making their pro debuts—including the No. 1 collegiate player in the country, Mirabel Ting.

The Florida State Seminole announced her departure from the program to pursue her dreams of playing on the LPGA.
Ting's college resume speaks for itself—but let's breaking it down.
During the 2024-25 season, she won the ANNIKA Award which is given to the top female Division I collegiate golfer, along with exemption into The Evian. She earned the ACC Golfer of the Year honors and an All-ACC selection for the second time in her career by helping FSU win its first ACC Championship title. She finished her junior season leading nation with a career-low and school-record 68.77 stroke average, that amassed to five individual tournament titles, nine top 10 finishes, with 25 of 26 rounds scored at par or better—going 80-under par for the season.
Needless to say, Mirabel Ting is a baller and a force to be reckoned with. Her FSU headcoach, Amy Bond, told Golfweek, "In my 25 years, she’s by far the best ball-striker I’ve ever seen."
Quality ball striking will be the key to making her first professional cut, as the course at the Evian Resort Golf Club has tight fairways and undulating greens that reward precision.
Evian is like the chic, cool young sibling to all the other majors. Formerly known as the Evian Masters, it was last LPGA tournament to be elevated to major status becoming the Tour's fifth major in 2013. Situated along the border of Switzerland and France tucked inside the French Alps, the golf course and resort is not only beautiful but it's also accented by it's decorous partners like Rolex and Veuve Clicquot, who charm patrons with their onsite activations.
To put it plainly, it's all so very French—and I love it.
As cool as the aura around Evian is, we're locked in on Ting and seeing her incredible play in action next week. A pro and major debut is a big deal for the 19 year old—and I'm excited to see her future on the next level play out.
