Folks, we got a special day on our hands.
Rory. Bryson. Round 2.
We all prayed for it entering the week, a Pinehurst rematch at the greatest golf tournament in the world on the greatest golf course in the world. And we got it. It’s freaking awesome.
Sure, there are a few other guys in contention. But it’s hard to focus on any other names aside from Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau. They didn’t play together at the U.S. Open, so the final 18 holes should have a little spice to them. The patrons and galleries are going to be loud, fist pumps will get the people going, and someone will slip on the Green Jacket on the 18th green.
These types of days don’t come around often. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the final round of the Masters. We sure as hell will be.
Masters: How to Watch the Final Round
Rory McIlroy Chases the Career Grand Slam

No one has more on the line than Mr. McIlroy. The Career Grand Slam, his elusive Green Jacket, his first major championship win since 2014. He’s had countless close calls at the game’s biggest events over the last 3-4 seasons, but this one feels different. It’s been 14 years since his 2011 second-nine collapse at Augusta National. Can he ignore all the noise over the final 18 holes? We’ll see.
Bryson DeChambeau Goes for his Third Major

DeChambeau is a two-time major champion: 2020 and 2024 U.S. Open. If he goes on to win Sunday, he’ll become the fourth player in history to win the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Open and Masters, joining Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Arnold Palmer. That’s pretty elite company. The last time DeChambeau and McIlroy faced each other, the Big Golfer came out on top at Pinehurst. The rematch is set for Sunday at Augusta.
Can Ludvig Aberg Make a Charge?

The Swede Machine finished second at last year’s Masters and seemed to find something on the second nine Saturday afternoon, making three straight birdies on Nos. 14, 15, and 16. He’s six back of McIlroy’s lead at 6 under, so he’ll need to put on a show Sunday afternoon to make it interesting. But his game is so clean, so tidy, that if anyone can come from behind to win, it’s Aberg.
Scottie Scheffler is Lurking

Scheffler is always lurking. No matter where he is on the leaderboard going into the final 18 holes, you have to take notice. For example, at the Olympics this past summer, Scheffler fired a 62 in the final round to steal the gold medal. It was pretty damn fun to watch. We know that the Texan adores this golf course and knows exactly how to play it. Would it surprise you if Scheffler posted a 64 on Sunday? Nope. He’s seven back at 5 under.
