On Wednesday, Keegan Bradley selected the six players who will head to Bethpage Black next month for the Ryder Cup—and he wasn’t one of them. According to him, the decision to not pick himself for Team USA was made “a while ago.”
So, with his decision to captain and captain only, Bradley selected Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Ben Griffin, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay, and Sam Burns.
They join Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Harris English, and Bryson DeChambeau, who were the automatic qualifiers after the conclusion of the BMW Championship.
As someone who expected Bradley to pick himself, I think he ended up making the right call. This move will remove a lot of noise, and now he can just focus on leading the team to another homesoil win.
With his decisions now made, here is how social media reacted to Bradley’s picks for Team USA.
