Just In: The Creator Classic Is Coming Back as Three-Part Series This Year

Riding the momentum of the inaugural Creator Classic in August, the PGA TOUR and Skratch’s parent company, Pro Shop, are tripling the offer for 2025. Golf's most prominent YouTube creators will headline a season-long series, with events and exclusive content unfolding at three marquee stops on the PGA TOUR during the 2025 season. This bold new initiative promises to bring fans closer to the game while spotlighting the creators reshaping golf culture.

"Before the Creator Classic, it wasn't often that YouTube's biggest creators all had a chance to be in the same place for something, " Pro Shop President Chad Mumm says. "We thought, how can we create an atmosphere that excites them, because that'll get their fans excited. East Lake worked beyond our wildest dreams, so bringing the event to the TOUR's biggest tournament in the PLAYERS, and then to an iconic venue in Philly Cricket Club for a signature event, should help keep that excitement going."

Expect to see over 20 creators tee it up across the three events, taking place on-site the Wednesday before tournament play at The Players Championship, the Truist Championship and the TOUR Championship. Each event will have its own competition format and player field—all of which will be announced soon.

Several of the stars from the first Creator Classic ahead of the 2024 TOUR Championship will be returning to compete. The 2024 Creator Classic drew over 100 million impressions as sixteen talented creators competed in an individual stroke play tournament on East Lake Golf Club’s back nine, with Luke Kwon taking home the crown.

“The inaugural Creator Classic served as a valuable testing ground as we look at new ways to connect with fans and creators,” Chris Wandell, PGA TOUR SVP of Media, said. “We are pleased with how the initial concept unfolded at the 2024 TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club and are excited to offer fans even more creator-driven content this year across three iconic PGA TOUR venues.”

The entire 2025 series will be broadcast live on the PGA TOUR YouTube channel, ESPN+, NBC’s Peacock and Prime Video. Expect a return of the professional-golf-level broadcast with live ShotLink powered by CDW scoring/data, Trackman shot tracing and premium on-screen graphics.
