Nothing like a Friday—or a Tuesday—news dump to create a little drama. On the eve of Christmas Eve, LIV Golf has announced that Brooks Koepka will no longer be part of the league financed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. No, we’re not kidding.

LIV’s CEO Scott O’Neil called the split “amicable and mutual,” and now one of the biggest names in the sport is a free agent. What will the five-time major winner do? Only time will tell.
