Last June, Nelly Korda missed the cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and was forced to withdraw from the Ladies European Tour Aramco Team Series event at the Centurion Club in London after being bit by a dog at a Seattle coffee shop.
“I regret to announce that I must withdraw from next week’s Ladies European Tour tournament in London. I was bitten by a dog and need time to receive treatment and recover fully,” Korda wrote at the time.
Well, on Thursday, the No. 1 player in the world posted a photo of the bites and they were gnarly.
I mean, I might have been out a year if that happened to me.
Nells has yet to win this season, but she’s currently on a run of six straight top-20 finishes and seems to be knocking on the door. It’s only a matter of time before she gets back into the winner’s circle.
Her next start will be the Amundi Evian Championship, the fourth women’s major of the year. So maybe her next W will be her third major title.
