If you've been waiting for a tech-packed series of irons that offer the ability to build your own combo set, while also offering classically shaped profiles, then look no further than the new Staff Model line from Wilson.

Wilson has a long history of great performing irons, and we've taken part of that heritage and combined it with modern craftsmanship to produce what I believe to be the best iron family the brand has ever produced.

Across the board, the Staff Model line is crafted from forged 8620 steel to provide precise feedback and control, and all models are equipped with milled faces and grooves. Another key feature of the line is Wilson’s Fluid Feel Technology that pulls unnecessary mass from the bottom of the hosel and moves it around the head for additional forgiveness. This is the reason for the black insert towards the heel on the soles.

It should also be noted that as far as dimensions and sole grinds, the Blades and CB have been designed to match each other as closely at possible and have an update profile that features a straighter leading edge.
As far as the Blade and CB irons are concerned, that about sums up the technology in those irons, but then again, these types of irons aren't designed with the intention of adding a ton of speed or hidden technology—they're designed for feel and control.
But if you are looking for hidden tech, speed, and added forgiveness, this is where the new XB Model comes in!

The Staff XB is Wilson’s first true hollow-body iron built for the modern player's performance category, although the shaping might have you questioning how an iron with such a compact look is actually hollow.

(Wilson Staff XB 7-iron from address)
Hidden behind the thin, fast face is hollow iron packed with a powerful amount of technology to deliver better forgiveness and ball speed on shots hit center and missed away from the sweet spot. It does all of this while still offering premium feel to fit into the rest of the line.
Topology optimization is an incredible tool that effectively tells us where to position mass internally to maximize performance and from this, we developed unique rib configurations for each loft in the XB. Another major focus for us was ensuring we had the best sound and feel in a hollow-body design and we’re confident golfers around the world will appreciate the end result.
-Ben Hanser, Engineer at Wilson Golf.
All three Staff Model irons have closely matching specs with the loft of the Blades and CB matching exactly and the XB's having lofts 2-degrees stronger through the mid irons to generate a stronger ball flight.
All three of the new Wilson Staff iron models will be priced at $1400 for a 7-piece set ($200 a club), and will be available in early February,
They are all available 4-PW, with a 3-iron also available through custom order. A GW is also a custom option with the CB Model.
Stock shafts in the Staff Model XB are Nippon Modus 110 Tours, while the Staff Model CB and Blades with come stock with True Tempers DG Mid.
